‘The Badger’ nominated at Philadelphia Asian filmfest

Iranian feature film ‘The Badger’ has won nomination at the Philadelphia Asian American Film Festival in the US.

Kazem Mollaee’s latest flick has grabbed the nomination for best film award at the 13th edition of the event.

The movie starring Vishka Asayesh is the story of a 40-year-old woman. She is named Soudeh Sharifzadegan and she is facing a difficult challenge in her private life at the time her second marriage nears.

In addition to Asayesh, the flick's cast list includes names such as Hassan Majouni, Mehraveh Sharifinia, Behnoush Bakhtiyari, Reza Behboudi and Gohar Kheirandish.

‘The Badger’ has already been screened at a number of global events, including the Shanghai International Film Festival in China.

The Philadelphia Asian American Film Festival is an annual film festival in Philadelphia that shows feature films and short films by and about Asian Americans.

The 10-day festival takes place in November, with additional screenings held year-round.

The 13th edition of the event is slated for November 5 – 15, 2020.
